In September and October we took nearly 1,000 kids and families to Spectacle Island and George's Island for art, storytelling, sea shanty's, fishing, hiking, and exploring.
On Friday, August 4, more than 500 kids joined us to celebrate the summer and clean water at South Boston's Carson Beach.
Save the Harbor/Save the Bay’s free Sail Boston youth and family programs brought nearly 1,000 kids from across the city and the region onto the harbor to see visiting vessels during the 2017 Tall Ships Festival, and 1,500 took part in our storytelling and fish printing programs at the Fish Pier and in the Navy Yard.
On April 29 we hosted nearly 1,000 kids and their families on three Marine Mammal Safaris on Boston Harbor to find harbor seals and porpoises.
On April 21, during school vacation week, we gave kids and families in Boston an opportunity to meet our pirate storyteller, Mary Reade, and interact with marine life in our touch tanks at the Boston Children's Museum.
On April 18 and 19, during school vacation week, we gave kids and families in Boston an opportunity to visit Atlantic Wharf to make fish print art, see and interact with lobsters, and try to their hand at fishing.
On March 5 more than 200 participants who raised more than $50,000 from over 800 donations jumped into Boston Harbor to raise money for free events and programs on Boston's public beaches in the Harpoon Shamrock Splash to Benefit Save the Harbor/Save the Bay.
