Exploring the tunnels of Georges Island!

Georges Island was fun even though we had less kids than expected. I enjoyed having lunch as a group with my co-workers; then exploring the island with the kids. It was extremely funny how petrified Kassie, Huges and Kristina became as we walked down the dark tunnel. Dave was able to scare a majority of the kids and staff workers, which made the day even more exciting! Georges is a great island for people who are brave, and are looking for a thrilling experience.

Wollaston beach event!

On saturday Cassie,Kariisha, Sarah, and myself all had blast at Wollaston. It was really fun showing all the kids and adults the lobster and some dance moves. I enjoyed the kids who participated in all the beach games aand activities. I hope to participate and be apart of more events such as this. -Mekhi

Staff day

I had an amazing day today at Spectacle island; the food was extrodinary and so was the dessert. My highlight of the day was playing an awesome game of capture the flag;my team was victorious as expected. Besides playing capture the flag and catching a frisbee I enjoyed relaxing in the shade. I wish we could have many more days like these where everyone is together having fun.

My big tournament

Yes everyone I feel as if I am a champion;why because eventhough I didn't catch a stripper I caught a skate. It was really exciting because it was my first time ever cathcing anything in the Boston Harbor. I hope to catch a stripperand be the undisputed fishing champion this year.

Recruitement day:Camp Harbor view

When Connor and Paula first introduced Our "club" to camp Harbor view I felt really proud and excited. I felt excited because Connor brought an amazing prop; he brought a flounder and that grabbed the kids attentions quickly. As soon as I saw the kids smiling and interacting with our group I knew I would have great week at Camp Harbor view.

Training Camp!

Hey everyone my name is Mekhi Wright-Hopkins, and I am 15 years old. I am looking forward to starting my new school (Proctor Academy) where I will enter as a freshmen. This is my first year at Save The Harbor; I look forward to catching fish and crabs this year! I have set some summer goals for myself the first one is: catch at least 10 fish, catch and hold at least 5 crabs, and keep the kids entertained! I hope to gain more knowledge about marine life and the harbor this year;I hope to gain more working experience with kids. My first two days at work were a bit tough at times, but I managed to mantain my focus and make it through each day. My overall highlight was learning how to fish and watching Connor set up a crab trap. -Mekhi
