First time at CHV

             This was my first time at Camp Harbor View and I had the most amazing time while being there. I got to take a big boat in the morning with all the campers in their bright orange shirts and with the other staff with blue, green and yellow shirts. I got to meet some of the campers who were very excited to fish and learn about the marine life. My CHV group had very energetic campers that weren't scared to touch the Green crabs or the Red Rock crab. Preston and I got to teach the campers the difference between a female and a male crab, how they lose and gain back their limbs, what crabs eat, and how many legs they have. Seeing the smile on the campers faces and to see how engaged  they were to learn about crabs was just great.

I'm back Save the Harbor!!!!!

 Look who's back for their third summer in a row D!!!. I'm so glad I could be back for another summer with Save the Harbor/ Save the Bay. I'm so excited to start working and getting to know all of the new staff and catching up with the old ones. Save the Harbor/ Save the Bay has been a joy to work with and to create new bonds with people. This summer I'm at Piers Park with a couple of new staff except my friend Ray. Can't wait to see what this summer will hold but I know that STH/STB never disappoints and I will always have a great summer no matter what I will be doing. Also can't wait to create new memories with the staff and also with the children, hopefully leave great ones with the children so they will keep coming back to Save the Harbor/ Save the Bay.

Rain coloring!

       Hey bloggers it's me D, I'm going to tell you how much fun I had in the rain at Piers Park. First we had clear skies and we were continuing with the regular schedule in the morning by playing games and having bundles of fun. Then down came the rain out of nowhere and everyone started running back to the tent. 

While it was raining we decided to make imaginary marine animals. The kids had great imaginations and also great marine animals. Josh drew a shark but it wasn't an ordinary shark he says  it was the world's biggest shark and the world's smallest shark put together. John drew a extra stinging jellyfish, it will sting anything and everyone and it had over 15 legs and has the power to control any animal in the water. The picture I drew was was a rainbow design fish called "colorzine". Everytime my fish swims it leaves a color and a design behind, it's a very happy fish. Towards the end of the day it was still drizzling but we decided to still playing in the rain which was so much fun because kids will play in any weather and have the times of their lives.
