News from the Seafood Festival!

Hello again!  Last week at the seafood festival there was so many happy faces. Kids and parents both enjoyed painting shells and making fish prints. Many of the kids painted shells. They made tons and tons of cool and crazy designs like batman, fish, dolphins and others. The kids where so creative and artistic throughout the day. They were always blending and making new colors to make shapes and animals on the shells.
The kids all had fun painting shells. After painting the shells, some even wanted to do more. They had so much fun, that they didn't even want to leave! After shell painting, some of them did fish printing and some even bought a couple of t-shirts!

I'm so excited to see what happens next! Till then-Joe

I SEA you!!

On Sunday we participated in an annual seafood festival. We had so much to do there, we had fish printing, clam shell painting, and shirt printing, and of course the kids loved it! It was really great seeing all the kids paint create different patterns and designs on the clams. We also had this wonderful bubble machine which brought most of the attention to our children's section. Although we did not do face painting this time we definitely got our face painted and got body tattoos. All you could see was kids with different designs on their faces and bodies. You might think this is a
bit funny when I tell you that kids weren't the only ones in line to do all of our activities. It was a blast! And of course we can not forget about ALL THE SEAFOOD there. It was really good! For those who missed out on this wonderful event I hope you come next year or soon and visit so that you really understand all the fun I'm talking about about.

Seafood Festival 2k16!!!

Hey Guys,
So this afternoon I had the pleasure of working at the Seafood Festival! It was a beautiful day, a little hot, so it was nice that we had a tent set up. So many kids came to paint clam shells. Not only that, but the festival was full of music, face painting, airbrush tattoos and most importantly food! A couple girls had this really cute idea to take multiple shells and paint each one a solid color and then write one letter on each shell which would spell out their names. I tried
painting my own shell but I am not the worlds best artist, but as Cris pointed out, my shell ended up looking like Dory. There were so many cool people there! I saw people dressed as Ariel and her dad, I saw people dressed as lobsters and crabs and fish, and I saw a couple of pirates beside our own Mary Read, including the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow. It was a good festival full of good times while being surrounded by good people. I'm so glad I was able to work at and enjoy this festival because of Save the Harbor/ Save the Bay!
Til Next Time,
Amanda
