My name is Holly Kaneb and I am a junior at Boston University. I am majoring in Public Relations in the College of Communication. I live on the North Shore of Massachusetts and grew up near the beach. Growing up near the water, I have always had an interest in the environment. I enjoy being outdoors and like to go hiking, swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. In addition, I have always been passionate about animals. I am excited to be involved with an organization that works to restore and protect the harbor for both marine life and people.
Looking for an internship, I was curious to learn more about the non-profit field. When I started learning about Save the Harbor/Save the Bay, I was intrigued by their mission to not only protect the Harbor and Bay, but connect communities all across Boston. I strongly believe in the mission of the organization. Through my involvement, I hope to contribute to a larger project and help strengthen the community of Boston and restore the Boston Harbor and Mass Bay for the public to enjoy.
I will be a Communications and Public Relations intern this summer for Save the Harbor/Save the Bay. I am passionate about writing and connecting with different individuals. I look forward to attending different events, writing blog posts, helping fundraise, and contributing to different social media platforms. I am eager to apply my skills as a Communications/Public Relations major and learn more about the environmental field!
