Hi there!
My name is Chloe Tomasetta and this summer, I am the Communications and Design intern for Save the Harbor. I am a rising sophomore at UMass Boston studying Communication and Art. On campus, I create advertisements and format the crossword puzzle for the school newspaper. At the start of my second semester, I began working for the Office of Student Activities where I handle their graphic design needs and social media pages.

Over spring break, I got the opportunity to go on a service trip through a program at UMass Boston known as Beacon Voyages for Service. Each week prior to the trip, my teammates and I met to discuss environmental issues both locally and globally. The trip, focused on environmental preservation, was based in South Carolina where my team and I partnered with Friends of Coastal Carolina. The Communication intern position at Save the Harbor will allow me to further my design experience while continuing to learn and appreciate the environment through a Boston based organization.
In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes and runs as well as being surrounded by nature. Save the Harbor’s mission to share the harbor is important to me because it allows hundreds of children and their families the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful beaches and islands of Massachusetts. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with an organization that has done so much amazing work in and around the Boston harbor and I look forward to learning how a small, nonprofit organization runs during their busiest season.
