My First Time at All Access!

Hey Everybody!

This week I worked with the crew from All Access and I had so much fun! I got to visit Georges and Spectacle Island, which I was really looking forward to. On the islands, we got to either teach the kids how to fish or play sports with them, and I got to do both! I got to meet a lot of great children and it felt great to be able to contribute to their enrichment. I must admit that I particularly liked Spectacle Island because we got to go into the water, and I for one hadn't had the chance to swim all summer, so I was very happy to have the chance to do so over at Spectacle.

At the end of the week, I was placed at Atlantic Wharf, where we fished, did fish printing, caught crabs, and told stories. The groups were really enthusiastic about the activities and were very participative. At one point, Deonte, the SHE at the Children’s Museum, brought a pretty big striped bass they caught over at Children’s. The kids definitely got excited about that. They kept wanting to touch and grab the fish, even though they were simultaneously scared of it. At the end of the day, we all got to eat some burritos provided by Boloco. Overall, it was a really fun day with a delicious ending.

Can’t wait to see what next week holds for me!
