Dynamic Day for Sea Glass at Spectacle Island!

Every summer, I always have that one blog post dedicated solely to sea glass. Ever since I was introduced to these amazing pieces of treasures, I have been in search of the rare marbles and the colors that more sparse - orange, red, yellow, and purple. This summer has been very giving to me, gracing me with the presence of the smooth pieces of glass. Today, however, David and I, along with the kindergarten and first grade kids from Braintree found marbles and a whole bunch of red sea glass. The kids loved the sea glass SO much, but were also very understandable when I told them that they were actually national treasures and therefore could not be taken home.
They happily brought their treasures that they found back to the visitors' center and wanted to share them with everyone else who would visit the island. Brian, my little sea glass buddy brought back a huge piece of red glass and it was the largest I've ever seen in my entire life!
It was such a great way to end the week at Spectacle Island.
I can't wait to go to George's Island and explore the fort with new groups this week!
