Spectacle Island

Today was the first day of Summer 2010 that we went out to Spectacle Island. The kids were very excited to get on the boat and take the trip out the island. Many of them were ready to go swimming and learn about the beautiful Boston Harbor. It was so fun to see all of the enthusiastic kids having fun on the island. On the island the kids were able to fly kites, go on a hike, play in the fields, play on the beach and go swimming. Many kids found beach glass and crab claws 0n the beach. All of the beach glass was given to the Spectacle Island Visitors Center and added to their massive collection. In my opinion today's trip out to Spectacle Island was very fun and the kids loved spending time on the island. At the end of the day all I could see were smiles on all the kids faces.
