My first time @ Courageous Sailing Center & Piers Park

Thursday brought new adventures as well as new faces; I went to sites Ive never been to before. After the weekly staff meeting, Paula, Latoya, Carolyn, and I all went to Piers Park, where we caught some crabs and let the children fish on the dock. We spent a few hours there and then went to the Courageous sailing center. Courageous had way more excitement and enthusiasm than Pier's Park. I went sailing for the first time; Paula promised me I'd be going even though I was scared. Sailing isn't too bad, but I highly dislike the boat tilting from side to side. Other than that, the experience was worth remembering. The fun didn't end there, we still had extended day which included taking the children to the dock and fishing. There were about 2 or 3 crab traps and 1 huge lobster trap. We had zero luck with the lobster trap but we found about 6 or 7 crabs; the green crabs were used for bait while the red rock crabs were tossed back in the water. I found a little creature that I have yet to see all summer; it was a star fish. We found one the size of my hand and the other star fish fit right in my palm. Going to new sites and meeting new people always brings exciting experiences.
