An Artist on the Island.

Camp Harbor View is a unique place with many adventures to be had. A new discovery by a camper was the pair of yellow binoculars we have to see more close up the harbor surrounding Long Island, where Camp Harbor View is stationed.

Anthony, a young artist, was able to create a wonderful drawing of the Boston skyline from the pier at Camp Harbor View. There are many sights to be seen from Long Island such as Spectacle Island, Deer Island and Logan International Airport ( which consumes the area which used to be home to Governor Island, Noddle Island and Apple Island).

There is a long history with the Boston Harbor, some bad and some good but history none the less. The newest turn of Boston Harbor's history is good. The beaches are clean and swimable and marine life is prospering. The campers at Camp Harbor View are not only able to see the beauty of the Boston Harbor, but also experience the wonderful things it has to offer. Fishing and crabbing are only a few of the many things we have the joy of experiencing. I can't wait to get back out there!
