Fish Artists

On Sunday, I had the privilege of attending the Seafood Festival on the Fish Pier near the harbor. I have never done anything like it before, probably because I am not used to seeing fish and playing around with them. We had to paint a fish with different types of colors of ink. At first we tried it ourselves and painted it all over and drenched it in so much ink. The kids proved to be way more creative than us, and their fish art looked much better than ours.  The kids were very interested in what we were doing. They kept on gathering around our tent and since sometimes the pattern of the previous fish art would stay, it looked like a very nice collaboration on a fish. It was amazing the turnout we got, even though it was raining and pouring.

Painting the fish and putting rice paper over it may seem like a simple task, but it is still very fun. I think that what had the kids more entertained and what had us so into it was that there was a good variety of different types of fish, there was long, short, wide, narrow, flat and round. It was a fun experience to see how different fish can be.
