Island Fun!

Boat ride to George's Island

Hey everyone, it's Kiki here!

This is my first year working at Save the Harbor/Save the Bay and I just returned from an adventurous day with All Access Boston Harbor!  Today hundreds of kids came together to explore George's Island. We showed the kids around and took them through the tunnel where, as legend tells, the "lady in black" resides. They really seemed to enjoy themselves. They fished, played kickball, and took in the scenery. Seeing all those excited faces even made ME excited.

In the morning, when everyone arrived at the Bank of America Pavilion, Kristen and I, another Junior Program Assistant, sat with a couple of kids from the Jackson Mann Community Center. They had so many great questions!  They kept asking us what we were going to do at the island, if the boat was scary, and if they would have fun.  We also colored and got to know each other a little better.

I cannot wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store for us!
