It's Summertime, Back to the Docks!

Hello everyone!

It's that time of the year again -- warm weather, lazy beach days, sunburns from spending the whole day at the beach, fishing, crabbing, and boating...it's summertime at good ole' Save the Harbor/Save the Bay.

My name is Carolyn Burkett, and this is my second summer with STH/STB. Last year I worked with David Coffin on All Access Boston Harbor, searching for sea glass and taking kids through the dark, twisting tunnels of Fort Warren. This year, I'm excited to be able to work with David some more as well as learning more about the other sites all around Boston.

One of my favorite parts of working at Save the Harbor is getting to spend the day with such wonderfully funny and well-behaved children from all over the city. These harbor explorers-in-training make every day worth it; spending a day exploring and learning with them makes me feel like a kid again, and makes me appreciate the wonders of the ocean even more.

Get ready for another busy summer!

~Carolyn
