Caring for each other's safety

They did not want me to move
Hello guys! One of the things I noticed about the kids this week is that they all really care about each other. The best way for me to express how much they care about each other is by telling you guys what happened yesterday. Zack, one other Piers Park sailing instructors, usually takes a few kids at a time on the sail boat for about a half hour each. As most people know, sailboats need wind to get going and to take them out into the open water but yesterday there wasn't much wind. At the same time the boat went out, I took one of the kids on the kayak and she was extremely concerned that the boat wasn't moving. At her request we circled the boat at least three times to make sure the other Harbor Explorers are fine. She offered many different solutions to the kids: bringing them a few paddles, have me bring them over one by one to the dock or for us to push the boat to the dock. It wasn't until the kids made it back to the dock that this girl was completely calm and ok. This was by far one of the cutest things that happened this week, I can't wait to see what else happens this week.

They're off on an adventure
Until next time,
Esmeralda
