Introduction Blog!

      Hi guys, my name is Abel Yohannes and I am happy to say that this summer will be my second with Save The Harbor/Save The Bay. I was born in Boston and have lived here all my life. Growing up in Boston, my house was a short walk from Charles River and a short drive from Carson Beach and the Boston Harbor. I was always aware of this and I would always ride my bike along the Charles River and along Carson Beach, and I would take walks along the Boston Harbor. However I never really felt connected to the Harbor, until I started working at Save The Harbor/Save The Bay.

The first time I went to a Boston Harbor Island, the first time I went fishing, and the first time I went kayaking on the Harbor, all happened while I was working for Save The Harbor/Save The Bay. My point is this job really opened me up to a lot of new things, and made my summers way more interesting and exciting. And I'm very excited to see what this summer has in store!
