Today at Carson Beach was a little bit different than the other days. Instead of playing soccer and volleyball with the kids, we decided to find and dig for clams with the YMCA kids. We had been at it for 2 hours and we nearly got 70-100 clams that day, it was really fun because most of the kids had never seen a clam or held one in their hand, so they got really excited each time we found one.

Some of the kids even tried building sand castles and tried to put the clams around the castle to make it look like they were guards, it was really fun and funny at the same time, and I hope we get to do it again. |
