Welcome all! For those who may not know me, my name is Preston and I am returning for my third year with Save The Harbor. This is my first summer as a Lead Harbor Explorer and I am pumped about it! Returning for a third year was an absolute must. From playing in the sand with kids, to pulling up crab traps, and fishing like the pros, I could not wait to return this year. Save the Harbor has been the highlight of my summer for the past two years and I'm glad I could be here for a third.
During this summer I am looking forward to seeing all the familiar faces at Save the Harbor, as well as the new ones. I am also looking forward to all the kids that we are going to interact with this year. Teaching them how to fish, and how to hold a crab the proper way may not seem like a big deal, but it is to them. Some of the children have never been fishing before. Or have never pulled up a crab trap. For many of these kids at Save the Harbor, it'll be their first time. It doesn't get any better than seeing a kid reel in his first fish, and it will never get old. This is a new year to meet new children and get new tan lines. I hope everyone is ready for an amazing summer!
