First Week at the Sites

   Hey everyone, my name is Will Conroy and this is my first year working with Save the Harbor, Save the Bay. I am 17 years old and going into my senior year at Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury.  I love sports and play varsity hockey and lacrosse at CM. This year we made a good run at the State Championship, making it to the semi-finals for hockey.  As the college application process begins, I'm applying to the United States Naval Academy along with Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Merchant Marine Academy located in New York.  I want to be a naval officer, and the Academy would give me the best education and preparation to lead in the Navy.  I've already began the application process and am really motivated going into my senior year.

Blacks Creek, Quincy

   As I said this is my first year working with Save the Harbor Save the Bay.  I'm located in Quincy working under the senior leadership of Tom Rebula. In the morning we work with two sessions of kids at Blacks Creek in Quincy and in the afternoon we travel out to Camp Harbor View on Long Island.  After this first week I have really enjoyed my coworkers and the kids.  It's truly fulfilling to know at the end of each day that at least one kid learned something important about our harbor. Really looking forward to the rest of the summer and the adventures ahead!
